Her Campus Blogger Network

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share some amazing news I received earlier this week. I got accepted into the Her Campus Blogger Network! I found out about HCBNΒ through Emily, a fellow blogger who I collaborated with in January. She recently got accepted too, congrats to her. I am so excited to be a part of such a large network of like-minded young ladies.

The Her Campus website has so much to offer. The articles are great, and so are the daily emails. I wish I discovered this site while I was still in school, but better late than never, right?

February Doodle Box unboxing!

I have an awesome unboxing for everyone today! This is my first of hopefully many more unboxing posts to come. Let’s get right into it:

Β “DoodleBox is a stationery, crafty box subscription service that delivers a box of hand-picked stationery, planner, smash book goodies to your mailbox, or the mailbox of a friend or family member every month!”

I found out about the Doodle Box on Instagram. A couple of people I follow on there had the January Doodle Box, and I liked what I saw. When it was time to sign up for the February box, I did so with no hesitation. Rachel, the woman who puts these lovely boxes together is so fun and creative. Β I was already following her prior to ordering a Doodle Box, so I knew I wouldn’t be disappointed. If you would like more info on how to order a Doodle Box, keep reading! πŸ™‚

My box finally arrived last week Saturday. It took a little over a week to get to me.

I was really excited to see that she included not one, but two roles of washi tape from Silent Poetry Arts. I’ve heard so many wonderful things about this etsy shop. I will definitely order from them soon.

I am beyond content with what I received. I got a little of everything: stickers, pens, cute gift bags, notecards, washi tapes, journaling cards. She even included a couple of Hershey Kisses in there, which I would’ve included in the photos, but I ate them already haha!

The way she hand selects, and packages everything shows how much she enjoys what she does. If you would like to order a Doodle Box, head over to Rachel’s Etsy shop: MadalooniesΒ also add her on Instagram @penpalhappiness

How to make cute paperclips for your planner

Hello my fellow planners!

This little DIY I have for you today is really easy to do. Enjoy!

What you will need:

Paperclips (I decided to stick with the basic silver ones)

Foam stickers (You can find these at your local craft stores i.e Michaels, Joann Fabrics etc.)

Glue gun is optional if you want a stronger bond, but the adhesive on the stickers work just fine for me. πŸ™‚

These foam stickers I actually got as part of a Valentine’s Day swap, so I don’t know which store carries them. I’m pretty sure many crafts store have these or similar heart stickers. They might even be on sale since Valentine’s Day is over.

wpid-wp-1422570778413.jpeg

All you need to do is peel the backings off the stickers, place the paperclip in between, and align the two stickers together. Press firmly to make sure the paperclip is securely in place and that’s it!

I absolutely love how cute it makes my planner look, and they are fully functional as well. The owl paper clip is from a dear pen pal buddy of mine.

If you liked this, please like and subscribe for updates. I would love to see how creative you get with your paperclips! Post your photos on Instagram and don’t forget to tag me @heartdreenie.lifestyle

My first Kikki-K planner arrived!

Happy Monday!
After a long debate on whether I should purchase a Kikki-K planner, I finally gave in. I saw that they were having a 50 percent off sale and figured this would be the best time to say yes. I’m so glad that I did. Once I placed my order, the excitement grew more and more each day. I spent a lot of my days watching unboxing and decoration videos.

It arrived on Saturday, and she looks even better in person! I got the Kikki-K personal planner in lilac. I named her Laila ❀

wpid-img_20150207_201314.jpg

The personal size is equivalent to the A5 size Filofax. The first three sections are 1. Calender 2. Meeting 3. To-do and the other four sections are for notes, but I will be changing that up quite a bit. Two notepads come included, a small one in the front, and larger one in back. It also comes with three sheets of cute stickers.

I can’t wait to start personalizing her! To be continued…

Kikki-k Love Movement excitement

Hey everyone!
I’m here to tell you about this great thing Kikki-K is doing. For those not familiar with this brand, they are a company based out of Australia. Since I’ve gotten more into planners, I noticed that Kikki-K is one of the most popular planners around. Their planners are so chic and elegant. That is what conviced me to purchase my first one! More about that in a later post πŸ™‚
So a couple of days ago, Kikki-K introduced the Love mail movement right in time for Valentine’s Day, and their Valentine stationary collection. The goal is to encourage people to simply write notes again. I’m always one to be involved in the digital world, but I recently got into penpaling, and it’s such a great feeling to receive a letter that is not a bill. I think that is what Kikki-k is trying to promote, not to let the art of writing letters fade away. Yea an email is quick, but there is nothing like taking the time to write a letter to a friend. The anticipation of receieving a letter, and then the happiness that is felt when it arrives.

On Instagram, I made my promise to commit to pen and paper.

I was one of the lucky ones to get a Valentine’s card and pen from them!
I think they fullfilled their giveaways, but you can still share the movement on Instagram and Twitter with #Kikkiklovemail
